CityTeam Ministries
CityTeam Friday Night Movie NightEach Friday night, Saratoga Presbyterian Church serves those at the CityTeam homeless shelter and recovery center by providing a fun evening watching a movie and enjoying refreshments. There are a variety of ways to get involved--watch the movie and hang out with the attendees, shop for refreshments and raffle prizes or bake goodies which we share with the attendees. If you have any questions or would like to participate in this ministry, please contact one of the members of our Compassion Leadership Team: Bill Turpin, Liz Guy, Chris Hogh, or Bruce Noel.
We have created a website on SignUp Genius where you can sign up for exactly what you'd like to do and when you'd like to do it. It's really easy. To get started click the button below.

Then select "Friday Night Movies" and you'll arrive right at the sign-up page. Scroll down to the date you want and click "Sign Up" for the task you want. That's all there is to it. You can return at any time to change your entry or to see who else is signed up. Passwords are not required, not do you need to create an account. The website will ask for your name and email address. These are required in order for the system to function, since it will be sending you an email reminder 3 days before the event. (You can also choose to have the system send you a confirmation email with an .ics file to sync with your electronic calendar.)
Schedule: Volunteers need to be on site by 5:45. You can organize a carpool to meet at SPC at 5:00 and drive from there or meet the gang at 580 Charles Street, San Jose. You may want to make a note in the "volunteer comments" field, such as "carpool desired" and contact each other once you see who is signed up.
CityTeam Ministries is a non-profit organization serving the poor and homeless in San Jose and five other U.S. cities, and with partnerships in other countries around the world. CityTeam provides food, shelter, clothing, recovery programs, youth outreach, camps for at-risk inner city kids, discipleship, and other essential care. www.cityteam.org
Responding to the challenges of our multiethnic society, CityTeam equips pastors and lay leaders to expand their ministries. In unchurched communities, CityTeam helps establish new churches by training leaders in evangelism and discipleship in order to reach their neighborhoods with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
